Calling ASYCUDA experts

Are you a former developer, technologist, or business expert who has worked on the design or delivery of an ASYCUDA system?  TTEK is currently complimenting its growing base of former ASYCUDA experts.  We are now seeking additional ASYCUDA Subject Matter Experts (SME) for our Professional Services division. You will work with our core development team to integrate ASYCUDA with new systems or tools.  This will include stabilizing and strengthening ASYCUDA deployments for our customers with APIs, modules, and plug-ins for Risk Management, Electronic Single Window, and Automated Diagnostics for Time Release and Trade Facilitation.

With your background in ASYCUDA ++ and ASYCUDA World , you will be required to travel to various ASYCUDA user countries and work both on-site and off-site. You will also bring your expertise to TTEK, especially in relation to:

  • Declaration processing and trade filing

  • Trader Registration

  • Accounting and payment including Account Revenue Ledger

  • Tax rules and exemption management from a Customs perspective

  • LPCO, quota, exemption and fee handling from an OGA perspective

  • Selectivity rules and inspection data analysis

  • Tariff management & classification concepts

  • Data mining, analysis and business intelligence

  • Cargo Control, Manifesting and warehousing

What you will do:

  • System version upgrades and re-platforming (database, SoClass & ASYCUDA modules)

  • Installation and configuration of new or existing modules (e.g., manifest and bill of lading, E-payment, declaration, e-Manifest, quotas, valuation, warehousing, selectivity)

  • Customization of existing, or installation and configuration of new modules or reference tables to meet customer requirements, including SoClass integration

  • Experience integrating ASYCUDA with third party systems including: Single Window, Risk Management, Cargo Scanning, Vessel tracking, Financial Management / Bank ePayment Gateways, third party API’s and more, using RESTFUL webservices, JSON and other related technologies

  • Strong understanding of the ASYCUDA data schema (Including E-document, Reference and SoClass Historization tables) and an ability to write efficient SQL to exploit it

  • Working knowledge of the WCO Data Model, including both EDIFACT and XML implementations of common transactions like CUSCAR, CUSDEC and GOVCBR

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience liaising with clients to clarify business requirements from a systems perspective

  • Tax rules and exemption management experience from a Customs perspective

  • Knowledge in LPCO, quota, exemption and fee handling from an OGA perspective

  • Selectivity rules and inspection data analysis skills

  • Tariff management & classification concepts

  • Data mining, analysis and business intelligence skills

  • Extensive knowledge of manifests and warehousing business needs

  • Experience with formalized testing of new functionality and large-scale system integrations

  • Experience working with small teams using an Agile development methodology

  • Strong client-service skills and must be able to communicate, both orally and in writing, in English.
